Accreditation means that an individual or organization has undergone an independent evaluation and has met the standards consistent with the highest degree of ethics, quality and competence.
The Global Commission for the Accreditation of Spiritual Medicine (GCASM) was created by leaders in the global community of spiritual sciences and healing to assess, evaluate and govern the practice of spiritual medicine globally.
1. GCASM accreditation means that the accredited individual/organization has been assessed to be of high ethical, moral and spiritual character and possesses sufficient intuitive awareness to administer care/counseling for the purpose of harmonizing the mind, body and spirit to address afflictions and diseases of a spiritual nature.
2. GCASM accreditation connotes that the institution is subject to continual review, oversight and regulation. The GCASM operates to ensure that the organization utilizes individuals who maintain connectivity with the Divine on super-conscious and subconscious levels in decision-making processes so that the best outcome can be realized. This correlates with the highest level of success in healing.
3. The GCASM is the first step in structuring and/or organizational transformation to spiritually-based health practices. Accreditation allows such organizations admission to the protective umbrella of a faith-based private membership association (PMA)
The GCASM is the only organization established to accredit organizations in the research and practice of spiritual medicine. Medicine is the art and science of healing. For healing to take place there must be harmony and balance of the mind, body and spirit. The original system of medicine upon which all other healing systems have been based incorporates harmony of universal elements, including animals, minerals, plants, humans and, of course, the phenomena of the unknown secrets of the universe itself.
The spiritual component is found in all of these elements.
To establish standards for the accreditation of spiritual medicine globally and to provide an ethical platform for research, validation and practice of spiritual medicine
To promote education and resource allocation related to the healing dimension and create guidelines globally for institutions to research, study and disseminate wisdom that will help people understand and overcome the greatest of all problems: that which is related to spiritual imbalance.
The global commission for accreditation of spiritual medicine is governed by a team of individuals who serve on an interfaith governing board. These are persons who have gained respect and recognition for their work in the spiritual sciences.
An organization may apply for accreditation by first submitting a written request to the board describing its mission, vision, charter, articles of incorporation or association, and the details of its general operational structure. Upon approval and granting of preliminary accreditation, there will be a period of Indentureship. Full accreditation can then follow.
Thank you for your interest.
